A Selection from the Prelude of Ave Maria, by J.S. Bach.

Arranged for Piano and Cello by Gounod,
With a slight revision for Harpsichord and Electric Strings by J. Fulmer.

Music Notes:

This is truly one of the most beautiful pieces that I have ever seen or heard that can be done faithfuly using a computer as an instrument. There was very little technical work to be done to keep as close to the orgional accidentals, and what there was turned out very nicely.

This is not one of your more common seasonal songs, but I do beleive that another part of Ave Maria (performed by Caruso), is VERY often heard at this time of year (or it may be from another Ave Maria, who knows).

Technical notes (for those who write for SoundSmith):

The only real technical portion of this song is in the placement of the notes. The Harpsichord portion of the writing was done first in a single collumn, and then manually moved into four staggered collumns, thus giving each note time to fully ring. In the middle of the piece, when the base line sank below the A3 level, the stagger was modified to stop the very low notes so that they would not muddy up the sound.

The looped Strings2.Sust instrument was created with the String2 instrument and Second Sight Sound Editor's 'Create Beginning Loop' feature. Very handy and nice sounding, Indeed!
